Happy 38th Month!

Antonio's milestones:

• Super super daldal. Matutulog na lang ang dami pang sinasabi
• He is in the ‘questioning ‘ stage now
• Who’s that?
• Where is the sound coming from?
• Why? – Why is he sneezing? Why does he have colds? Why are they shouting? Why are you laughing?
• Where is daddy? Where are my cousins?
• He can now say “In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen” and say our short morning prayer

Ate Rose: Bakit carry? E ang bigat mo na?

Grabe naman sa memory. Recently, he was gathering his puzzle pieces so he can assemble them. When he saw the Mickey Mouse puzzle pieces, he stood up and went to his cabinet, looking for something.

Mommy: What are you looking for?

Antonio: Puzzle piece. Kulang e.

Mommy: Pano mo naman nalaman na kulang e di pa nga buo.

Antonio: I am looking for the puzzle piece. Kulang (still looking for the piece)

Mommy: Hay, halika gawin muna natin *I started completing the puzzle*

I was shocked, kulang nga. Shockers! Then, I suddenly remembered na the day before nga, he saw one piece of that puzzle in one of his toy bags

Happy 37th Month!

Antonio's milestones:

• Says presents instead of gifts
• Compliments people
•  Loves to copy other people
• Ang daming alam! Haha! When he asks a question and my answer is "maybe it is ___", he will say "could be". 
• If we did not hear what he said and it is not important naman, he will say "nothing". Parang matanda?

Antonio's 3rd Birthday

We just had a simple dinner on Antonio's birthday. Red Ribbon Pancit Palabok and lumpia from DEC.

Syempre, we also had a cake (from Chocolat) with 3 candles, which Antonio blew twice that day. Hehe!

Happy 3rd Birthday Baby!

Happy 3rd birthday, Antonio! We have passed the terrible 2 stage with flying colors. I was expecting I will be blogging my rants all throughout the year, but no. You have been a very good boy.

We are really blessed to have you in our lives. I have never imagined that I can love a person as much as I love you. Your I love yous, smiles, hugs, and kisses complete our day.

We pray that you will grow up to be a good Christian, loving and respectful to others. We love you so much baby! Mwah!

Antonio's milestones:

• When we massage him, he says "Ahhh thalap" with matching facial expression.
• He remembers a lot. He can still remember that a balloon popped when my brother-in-law closed the trunk of the car. This happened October 1 before they left for the surprise party of my mother-in-law
• If he does not know the next thing to say, he will ask - what's next?
• He loves to say - "maybe" (when I asked him for his car, he will say "maybe under the sofa")
• He loves to play hide and seek 
• He is such an OC kid. If he sees trash on the floor, he will pick it up and throw it inside the trash can. If the floor rug is not properly laid out, he will fix it. If the door is open, he should close it and say - close the door pasok lamok.

Happy 35 months!

Haha! Mag 3 years old na baby ko sa Wednesday, now ko pa lang gagawin to, which is supposedly for October! Tsk tsk tsk.

35th month milestones:
1. Grabe ang imagination! We always playing pretend. Most of the time he is a dog and asking for a bone. Sometimes naman, he will ask for grapes. Kunyari bibigyan mo, he will say thank you and go back to his toys. Haha!
2. He sings - "Angry bird is coming to town" - to the tune of Santa Clause is coming to town. We really do not know where he got that.
3. He talks like an adult. When you answer his question, he will say - "Ah, okay okay".
4. Yes, he still breastfeeds. Pero feeling ko comfort sucking na lang ang ginagawa nya =(
5. He drinks more ounces of Lactum from the feeding bottle (hay, di ko pa sya mawean sa bottle), so palaging butas ang Avent nipple...shyecks ang mahal!

2 days to go!!! Woohooo! This will be a week-long celebration for Antonio! Hehe!

Happy 34 months!

Yes, this is a late post again. Hehe! This should be for September 16. But since we were in Bali during that time, I was not able to do this.

34th month milestones:

1. He can now spell his name

2. He can count 1 to 10 in Spanish

3. He can count 1 to 20 in English

4. He loves angry birds

5. If we are near our house na, he will say - Hooray, we are here!

6. He has his new pa-cute smile

7. If Arch and I hug each other, he always go in between us.

I am now thinking of what we will do on his 3rd birthday. One thing is for sure, he will have an angry bird cake =) Woohoooo!

Happy 33 months!

Syempre late post. We had to stay the whole week last week in my parents house. The kitchen and the whole first floor here had to be painted...so we really have to leave.

Anyway, 3 more months to go and Antonio will be 3 years old...until now he is still breastfed. Haha! I think pampatulog na lang talaga nya yun!

He currently loves singing...kahit Alleluia kinakanta. =)

He knows the concept of big and bigger, small and smaller.

One time, my sister has popcorn with 2 flavors - one chocolate and one cheese - in one container. I told him not to eat the chocolate as it is toooooo sweet. Ayun, di nga kinain ang chocolate! Ang taas ng EQ =)


and I forgot to include in my previous milestones list, that Antonio is potty-trained already except when he sleeps and when we go out. I think it started last May...I am not really sure. After our trip next month, we will start training him to use briefs na rin even if he is sleeping....crossing my fingers!

Happy 32 months!

Antonio is super daldal na. Dati I was concerned na di sya nagsasalita, now ang dami dami na nyang words na alam! At para ng matanda when he converses with people.

The kitchen here is being renovated. One time he said to the carpenter - Corro (Socorro is the name of the carpenter), stop. Quiet, Koko (the brother of my husband) sleep - Haha! Pagalitan ba yung karpintero?

When we ask him, "are you the pupu boy?", his answer, "no Anton"

We have a new game. I will sing a song and he has to tell me from what cartoon show is it. Minsan intro pa lang, alam na nya. To think he is not babad sa tv!

And when he shows me his cars, he will say..mommy, blue car. mommy, red car. Or sometimes, sasabhn nya big car, small car! He knows the concept of big and small and long and short.

He is more into sentences na rin! Like "could you draw Anton's car" Ayos!

At nakakatuwa, may porma sya when he plays basketball, golf, bowling, and baseball! Haha! Athletic ang bata! =)

Medyo na lessen na yung tantrums nya. I hope tuloy tuloy na! =)

Happy 31 months!

* One afternoon, I kept calling his name to listen to me. He suddenly blurted out - "what do you want?" But not in a pagalit voice ha. Parang statement. Hay natawa na lang ako!

* While swimming in the pool, he said - "Mommy, wiwi". O diba ang bait ayaw magwiwi sa pool!

* When our yaya asks us what we want for breakfast, he always say "hotdog and soup"

* He wants to choose what he will wear, either pang alis or pambahay.

* He wants us to sing "Old McDonald, had a farm" every night! 

Happy 30 Months!

Oh my my my, we are now experiencing the peak (i hope it is the peak hehe) of terrible 2 stage! We are now doing the time outs/stand in the corner...because he wasted the tissue paper, because he threw the mango, because he bit his yaya (wala lang, nanggigigil lang ata). I just hope this time out thingy is the way for him to listen to us.

Sometimes, if he does not listen, I just wanted to go to the bathroom and cry...so I could just release my temper!

I asked my previous boss, how they were able to manage their 3 boys. He said, "kasi di naman spoiled mga anak namin" Haha! Minsan, I am asking Arch if we spoil Antonio. Kasi iniisip ko na di ko naman binibigay lahat ng gusto. Like if he wants ice cream before eating lunch, di naman ako pumapayag. If he wants to play/watch pa but he needs to sleep na, I firmly say no naman.

Hay naku, siguro nga nasa stage lang sila na they want to assert themselves. Just like what I have blogged here

But Antonio listens din naman e. If he is crying or throwing tantrums and I tell him, I cannot understand him because he is crying he stops naman e. Yun nga lang pag di naman talaga pwedeng ibigay, iiyak sya ulit! Haha! And Antonio is a happy child, he loves to laugh, play with his toys, play pretend! I love how he picks ups songs fast! One morning, Arch was singing Baby of Justin Bieber. He said to Antonio to sing also. Antonio just listened to him. Afternoon of that same day, Antonio was playing with cars. He was singing. I listened, he was singing Baby! Haha! I would like to share this video of him singing that song.

Happy 29 months!

This is a late post again. Hay!

My mom used to sing songs for us to put us to sleep...nursery rhymes, spanish songs, songs from movies, etc. So when I gave birth to Antonio, I also sing for him, especially when I carry him to sleep. I have 5 songs that I usually sing, medley kung baga! Haha! When he turned one year old, paminsan minsan ko na lang sya kantahan kasi I don't rock him to sleep na kasi ang bigat na rin nya e.

This month, naglambing so I carried him and sang. I was so shocked he sang with me. At first pinigilan ko matawa kasi I want to hear him, pero after the second song, nagtawanan na kaming dalawa. I was so happy and proud! Now kahit I am not putting him to sleep and I ask him to sing with me, he sings naman =)

He also knows the alphabet songs and knows all the alphabet letters. We passed by BDO bank the other day, he said B-D-O. Happy happy happy!

One more milestone for this month, he knows some words in English and Tagalog. So if I say what is ligo, he will say bath. kain, he will say eat. I was so surprised that he knows the translations!

Happy 28 months!

Antonio learned to make drama iiyak pag may gusto na di pwede at antok na sya. But iiyak na nakahug sa akin or kay yaya nya hehe!  Pero on normal days and most of the time, if he wants something and we will tell him he is not allowed to have it, he just say okay. Ay ang bait na bata!

He knows a lot of words na rin. Nagugulat na lang kami na alam na pala nya yung mga words na yun =)

And grabe sa memory. As mentioned before he loves playing with his puzzles, alam na nya kung san ilalagay yung piece kahit wala pang gilid! Haha! =)

Happy 27 months!

His major milestone for this month - he can now tell us he wants to make poop and/or wiwi. Before, we know naman na he wants to make poop kasi we can see from his face (hehe) and he holds our hands kasi umiire na sya...pero now, as in sinasabi na nya he wants to make poop. Pag wiwi naman, he removes his diapers. But syempre minsan may accidents pa rin naman. Hopefully in 2 months, we will be diaper-free during day time! Yippeee!!! =)

As always, marami pa rin syang antics! He sometimes 'invent' tunes for meme (milk), for calling Jomar - the son of his yaya, if he wants kapi (choco na gatas). Haha! Ewan, magiging singer ata si Antonio! 

Also, he never gets tired or bored with his puzzles! Yan ang morning ritual nya! =)

Happy 26 months!

I have been busy (but I am happy) these past few weeks, thus, was not able to update this blog.

His major milestone for his 26th month, ang laki ng progress ng speech nya! Dati, I was a bit worried that Antonio was not really madaldal. He can converse with us but more on signs with matching sounds. I was searching the net for signs of problems, pero so far okay naman sya. He can say more than 50 words and was not throwing tantrums as in na naglulupasay sa floor. Pero since January, mas madami na rin syang nasasabi and buong sentences na rin! And finally, he said "mama" already. Before, he calls me meme or diddy. Pero when we ask him naman 'where is mama?', he will point or look at me. Lahat ng tao nasabi na nya ang name, except mama. Kaya when he called me mama, I was so happy and kilig at the same time =)

So far, he has not thrown tantrums yet. He has some drama moments pero madali namang mapatahan =) Kaya di pa namin talaga na-eexperience ang terrible 2 stage =D

Happy 25 months!

So I will not forget his milestones, I will still document them monthly (hopefully!)

I think he was able to complete the puzzle less than a week after he started playing with them...and he does this activity everyday after that. Haha!

*Sorry, he was kind of distracted by the tv. I cannot turn it off kasi lalo nyang di gagawin yung puzzle. Haha!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Happy happy birthday Antonio! We will be eternally grateful to the Lord for blessing us a healthy, smart, and handsome son. We are also thankful that you have been a very good boy ever since. We pray and hope you will grow up to be loving and fearful to the Lord always. We love you so much baby! Mwah!

Arts and crafts

Thanks to Mommy Clarice for inspiring me to do toddler activities with Antonio. Most of the time, we are doing arts and crafts. But I am still not consistent, meaning we are not doing it daily. If I have not prepared something for the day , I just compensate it by doing puzzles with him or playing balls with him. I just hope it is okay.

This is the first artwork we did. My husband was so surprised that Antonio was able to assemble them =D

Happy 23 months!

One more month to go! We are still preparing for a simple birthday celebration for the baby boy next month. Even though we will not have a grand party, I am still excited to prepare for it! =D

2 puzzles at a time

Two weeks ago, I posted a video of Antonio while he was completing a puzzle. Last week, I was able to capture a video of him completing 2 puzzles!

Note that he was swaying and humming at the first part of the video. He was also making sure the writings on the shapes are not upside down! =)
