Bali ABADventure Day 6

Day 6 / Conclusion:

We just walked along the beach. Konting swimming (kasi ang lamig pa rin), then we started the travel home.

We had a 5 hour layover in Singapore Airport. We thought we can just relax sa Changi, kasi super laki and ganda ng Changi diba? More or less complete sya. However, sa AirAsia pala, you really have to get your luggages and pass through immigrations og Singapore. From Bali, our boarding pass is until Singapore lang. We have to check-in ulit (sa AirPhil) pagdating ng Singapore, to think di kami budget terminal ha. Since di pa open ang counter ng AirPhil, we have to wait outside the departure area.

When we have checked-in, we still have 2 hours before our flight. So we went to Terminal 3 to kill time and to go to Charles & Keith. Wala rin akong nabili. Haha! Super okay talaga ang Changi kasi napaka convenient to transfer between 2 terminals. Nagenjoy si Antonio sa train. Haha!

Tuwang tuwa ang asawa ko to see the A380
Eventually, na bore na si Antonio

Learnings/Realizations/Conclusion/Tips:
1. This was the first out of the country namin na kasama si Antonio. So sobrang pagod talaga. Sabi ko kay Arch, if ever we will go to Hongkong or Singapore, di pwdeng kaming 3 lang. Dapat kasama family ko or family nya. Haha! Though maraming magsasabi na kaya nga vacation, so the parents can relax relax din.
2. Antonio is not a picky eater. Pero parang nanibago talaga sya, naku di nagkakakain. Tapos nagkasakit pa. Kahit french fries, di sya masyadong nagkakakain. Ang kinakain nya e chocolate and chips. Sana, I brought healthier chips (?) Haha!
3. Charge the battery of the camera every night kahit di pa ubos.
4. Bali is a beautiful place. Maganda ang kalye, walang lubak ha! At ang mga bus stops, okay din. Yun lang ang daming motorcycles! Haha! Nakakatakot. One time we saw a mom driving the motorcycle, one hand sa handle and one hand sa baby nya. Siguro wala pang one year old yun!
5. Will I ever go back to Bali? Pag libre! Haha! Otherwise, I will just go to Hongkong or Singapore. Kasi I think Bali is not for kids e. Unless surfers kayo or divers. The beach di naman maganda. Ang pupuntahan niyo lang talaga dun is temples and bars. Yung Safari naman, there is one in Singapore. Beach naman, nothing beats our beaches e.
6. Balinese people are uber nice!
7. I have read that their tap water is not safe for drinking. Even locals do not drink tap water daw. So to be sure, yung pang tooth brush ni Antonio, bottled water.
8. We really enjoyed this vacation. Kasi once in a lifetime to e. And I am thankful that the wedding was held in Bali.
8. Time to think of our next vacation! Woohoo!!!

Bali ABADventure Day 5

Day 5:
This day is for Antonio. We went to Bali Safari and Marine Park. The price is USD35 per person. Antonio saw elephants, lions, giraffe, zebra, and rhinoceros (even si Arch, first time din nya makakita nun haha).

After Safari, we ate at I Made Joni. We had (walang kamatayang) Nasi Goreng and Bebek Bingil (crispy duck). Yummy!

Crispy Duck

Nasi Goreng (may kagat na yung chicken haha!)
After that, since nasa Bali na rin kami, we asked the driver if we can just pass by one temple. We went to Pura Desa Batuan Temple. Picture picture lang!

We should have done this trip to Safari and Ubud on a weekday. Kasi Saturday to so super traffic going to Safari. Then, papunta sa restaurant traffic din kasi there was a mass cremation all over the place (I think sa buong Bali) because the day was auspicious for cremation. According to our driver, every 5 years yung mass cremation. Cremation there daw is expensive kaya may mass cremation sila. So if ever a family  member died and walang money for cremation, the body will be buried first then antayin na lang yung mass cremation. I was asking Arch to take a pic of the ceremony, kaso nahiya asawa ko, feeling nya sacred kasi yun. So wala kaming picture.

Bali ABADventure Day 4

Day 4:
This day is the wedding day so we did not go anywhere else...We just walked along the beach and swam sa pool. Since our hotel was right beside Conrad and some relatives of Arch were billeted sa Conrad, we were able to swim there.

According to Arch's tita, we should be at the Chapel by 4pm. Kaso when we arrived there, pinagstay muna kami sa isang holding room. I think the the chapel is not yet ready. The ceremony was held at The Infinity Chapel. It was a small chapel kaya only relatives were inside. I told my husband buti na lang maliit lang yung side ng father ng groom (actually, isa lang ang umattend) kungdi, draw lots ang mangyayari. Ang mother side of the groom was my husband's family. But there was a big screen daw outside, so the friends can see what is happening inside. It was a very very solemn and heartwarming ceremony! And good thing it was short.

After the ceremony, there were cocktails, so we had time to take pictures. Then after, dinner time. The dinner/program ended at around 10, I think. Before matapos, Antonio and I went back to the hotel na. Kasi nakasama namin sila nung first night na dinner and the Welcome drinks/dinner...never nila nakitang magwala si Antonio. Ahaha! Ayos!

After the dinner, meron pang after wedding party, si husband na lang ang umattend dun =)

Bali ABADventure Day 3

Day 3:
Madaling araw, Antonio had fever. Siguro sa sobrang pagod. Buti na lang the whole day wala ng fever. And soft and madalas sya mag poop (Until Sunday, madalas pa rin sya magpoop. Siguro nanibago talaga sya.

parang walang sakit

We went to Kuta Market to make pasyal. We just bought matching sandos for us and I bought a bag. Wala lang haha! Just like sa atin, dapat ang tawad mo e 80% agad! Mahal yung mga branded clothes like Roxy.

We ate lunch somewhere near our hotel. Okay naman masarap naman yung food!

Around 4pm, we met up at Conrad Bali to go to AYANA Resort and Spa Bali. We had the welcome drinks/dinner there. Grabe, from the hotel lobby (of the Ayana Resort) to the bar, I think it took us about 15 to 30minutes.

This part of the island medyo di mahangin. Haha!

grabbed this picture from one of the groom's friends
Pero the pagod naman and init was worth it.

Bali ABADventure Days 1 and 2

Day 1:
Travel to Singapore. We basically slept at Singapore. We got kasi Airphil. Kasi when we bought the tickets last January, we were told na dapat Wednesday night (September 14) dapat nasa Bali na kami. So we decided na Airphil na lang. E nagchange yung wedding plans, so we were stuck sa Airphil na. Okay na rin, mura pa rin naman lumabas kahit na we spent SGD150 for the hotel. Okay naman ang Airphil. Medyo na late lang nakaalis kasi we were waiting for the manifesto. Nagalit nga yung Pilot kasi pag sila late, memo kaagad daw. Hehe! Terminal 2 sya. As for our hotel in Singapore, maliit yung room, to think upgraded pa daw kami ha. 3 floors sya and there were no elevators. Free breakfast din. Bread, cereals, egg and noodles. Okay na rin naman kung tipid talaga. And mababait yung tao sa hotel. Pero sabi ng husband ko, if ever we go to Singapore again, wag na daw dun. I was not able to take pictures na kasi sobrang pagod kami!

Day 2:
Travel to Bali. When I learned about the experience of 2 Filipinas in Bali last June, I really got scared that I wanted to back out. Pero just to be sure, I brought the wedding invitation and yung bride and groom were already there in Bali beforehand so we got their numbers in case magkaproblem. We arrived Bali around 1155am. Medyo magulo and old na ang airport nila, parang NAIA Terminal 1. Thank God walang naging problem. Di na kami tinanong ng Immigration Officer. Unfortunately, one of the guests sa wedding, he was a Taiwanese, nahold sya for 2 hours sa airport. Napagkamalan syang may drugs. Hay wawa naman.

Surprisingly, the weather in Bali was not humid! Ang lamig pa nga! Nung gabi, nanginginig kami sa lamig! It was so windy, na ang daming nagpapalipad ng kites.

After checking in at our hotel, we had our late lunch sa hotel na rin. Then, had a nap. Kasi awang awa ako kay Antonio puyat haha!

Hotel in Bali:
Jl. Pratama 15B, Tanjung Benoa
Nusa Dua Bali 80363 - Indonesia

yezzz, we are millionaires!

The hotel where we stayed in Bali was okay. It was bit old but okay naman. The room was big, malamig, medyo madilim lang but ang important is walang lamok! I read kasi the post of TopazMommy regarding their Bali trip, sabi nya malamok daw yung room nila. Thankful talaga ako di malamok!

One thing though, I think our room is like a traditional Balinese house. So the other door is locked inside and the other is padlocked where they can enter without waking us up.

Can you see padlock? =)

After the nap, we strolled along the beach and making usyuso sa Conrad, since it is just right beside us haha! We saw the groom, who is Arch's cousin and his bride. We also met another cousin of Arch. After that, we went back to our hotel and swam for about 5 minutes kasi sobrang lamig! Natatakot ako namagkasakit si Antonio.

After that, we freshened up and had merienda/dinner for Antonio. Maaga kasi magdinner si Antonio e. Then we waited for Arch's family to arrive (Cebu pac/Air Asia kasi sila). Then, we proceeded to the dinner place, which was arranged by the parents of the groom. We ate at JBS at Jimbaran Beach. Sayang when we arrived there, gabi na. I have read na maganda daw ang sunset dun. Ang sarap ng food!!!! As in...seafood galore. Yung grilled shrimp panalo!

Travel Essentials and plus more

I admit I am not a light packer. Pag out of town/country trips na usually 4 days/3 nights, parang pang one week na ang dala ko...minsan more pa! Haha!  Mas gusto ko kasi may extra clothes...for emergency reasons. Lalo na ngayon, we have Antonio, mahirap ng magkulang kulang ang things nya!

In the next few days, we will be having our first out of the country trip...excited at the same time nervous. First time namin ng husband ko pumunta next week, so goodluck na lang sa amin. Haha!

For this trip, I have listed down all things we need to bring...alphabetical order para mas mabilis icross out. The clothes, dapat ata separate entry yun, dahil may schedule ako for the clothes. Haha! Arte. I am sure this list is not final, may idadagdag pa ako dyan. =)
